The 'One Planet' expedition is an environmentally friendly expedition for the new millennium. Travelling from Edinburgh in Scotland to Dunedin in New Zealand without the use of a motor engine, using information and communication technology to enhance awareness of the world and promote educational enquiry.

The High Road to Dhaka Expedition, coordinated and led by the 'One Planet' team, is providing integral information concerning equipment, climatic conditions, high altitude exercises and logistical planning. Travelling solo from Lahore in Pakistan to Dhaka in Bangladesh, via the Himalayas it is hoped that Ian Owen will raise �10,000 for 'The Shooting Star' Appeal.
